Billing questions
- What counts as a scan?
- Each page scanned counts as one scan, whether it comes from the API, the CLI, the MCP server, the dashboard or a scheduled scan. A multi-page crawl uses one scan for each page in its page limit, charged when it starts. A scan counts once it is queued, even if the page then fails to load. Checks on the free accessibility checker do not count.
- What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
- New scans are refused with a clear error until the 1st of the next month (UTC), or until you upgrade. There are no overage charges, so a busy month never costs more than your plan.
- Do I need a card for the free plan?
- No. The free plan gives you 25 scans a month and 5 requests a minute on one domain, with no card and no time limit.
- What currency are prices in, and what about VAT?
- Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, calculates and collects any VAT or sales tax at checkout, based on where you are.
- Can I change plans or cancel?
- Yes, at any time from the billing page. An upgrade starts straight away and you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the month. A downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Refunds are handled by Paddle under its Buyer Terms.
